This 3 year old Nana zone hotel offers rooms decorated in a contemporary Asian style which is atttractive if not stunningly beautiful. Everything is in tip-top condition.
The ground-floor restaurant is attractively decorated and furnished in dark woods and rich red fabrics, and has an outdoor annex that is a peaceful and shady place to while away time over a cup of tea. Next door, the hotel's street-level bar is a buzzy and comfortable place to start off the night's festivities, before heading out for the festivities which Bangkok offers in such abundance and variety.
The pool area is a bit of a let-down. Although it occupies a stunning location on a 17th floor terrace benefitting from panoramic views, the pool is too small and is surrounded by too few loungers. It's best to come here for a nightime dip, when everybody else is elsewhere, and the night-time cityscape of brightly-lit skyscrapers looks particularly spectacular. If you want to spend time soaking up rays in Bangkok, you are best advised to stay elsewhere.
All three room types are located on all seventeen floors, so it is possible to request a high floor for all room types.
Accommodation
Studio 36 sqm
These well-designed units maximise the space available and don't feel too cramped, despite their modest size. There is a medium-sized and comfortable sofa in these rooms, which are a reasonable option.
Deluxe 48 sqm
Some of these units occupy corners of the building. From the bed, they offer views in two directions. These corner rooms are a much better choice than the Deluxe rooms which are not on corners. The large floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows make these rooms a good choice. They have rather annoyingly small living rooms, and kitchens that are useless to travellers. For these reasons, these units are not recommended - travellers are advised to book one of the Executive units, which have bigger living rooms at a price not much higher than these Deluxe rooms.
Executive 54 sqm
These units feel significantly bigger than the Deluxe units. The extra space has all been used to provide a much more spacious living room, in which there is room for a larger and more comfortable sofa. Some of these rooms are on corners, making them a much better choice than the Executive rooms which are not on corners.
