This resort is bad value for money. Buildings in a tropical climate deteriorate rapidly unless strenuous efforts are made to keep the mould and smells at bay. These efforts have not been made at this resort. The resort's location on Railay West beach means that it is popular and usually full, leading the resort's management and ownership into complacency. Why should they bother to maintain their resort, we assume they wonder, if it's pretty much always full in high season anyway.
The prices charged here are inflated by the resort's lovely location on Railay West beach, and are now simply too high for the very basic accommodation on offer. If the visitor wants to stay on Railay West beach and the better adjacent resorts (Railay Bay resort and Raiay Village resort) are full, then we can book you into this resort, but we don't recommend it. The Sunrise Tropical resort is only a couple of minutes walk away, and offers way better value for money.
One room type is an exception to the bad value offered here. The Deluxe Fan Bungalows, while so grotty they are in need of demolition, are very near to the beach and pool so, for people with poor senses of smell and vision, are not a bad choice.
