Introduction

This resort is one of the best mid-range resorts on Klong Dao beach.

Like all the other resorts on Klong Dao, the prices are higher than elsewhere, due mainly to their proximity to the pier, which means they are usually full.

It has a sizable pool and a well-maintained, large garden - think manicured hedges and towering coconut trees.
While the shared areas of the resort are attractive, the decor in the rooms won't be to everyone's taste.
It's not so much a question of quality as of taste - the wallpapers and furnishings, while smart, will look out of place to many people.

Thankfully, the decor is the only thing this resort has in coomon with a Blackpool (England) resort - there are no lager louts here, no greasy food, and the rain is never cold.

Accommodation

Deluxe Hotel Room

These rooms are built on two floors, all facing the sea. The ground floor rooms offer smaller sea-views but easier access to the pool than the upstairs rooms.
These rooms are looking a bit tired, so it's a good thing that, as at May 2010, these rooms will soon be renovated. The work is expected to be complete in October 2010, contact us for an update.

Standard Room

These rooms face away from the sea and pool. Like the Deluxe rooms, they are about to be renovated.

Seaview Bungalow

The decor in thse rooms won't wow anybody, and might upset the younger crowd, as it is somewhat old-fashioned. The furniture and fittings are not high quality, but no worse than most of those in other Klong Dao resort rooms at similar prices.

Some of these rooms are built in connecting pairs, which share terraces. This makes them good for families, but not for couples, who have no privacy on their terraces from the people next door.
In general, these are a resonable choice when compared to other accommodation on Klong Dao, but not when compared to better places further south like the Moonwalk on Klong Kong beach.

There is one of these units that has by far a better sea-view than the others. This bungalow, which is the one located furthest north, effectively offers a beachfront view at a seaview price, and is recommended, if you can get it. If you don't mind dated decor and are looking for a good value beachfront unit on Klong Dao, this single northernmost unit is a good choice. Contact us to see if it is available for your dates.

Deluxe Bungalow

These are the same as the Sea-view bungalows, with no seav-views. They are only a little less expensive than the Sea-View bungalows, so generally only get booked when the Sea View bungalows are full.

Standard Bungalow

These have more basic furniture than the above units. They are really not much to write home about and, if this is all you can afford here, you're advised to go stay on one of the beaches further south, maybe at the Moonwalk, where you get more for your money.

Andaman Suite

These units occupy prime beachfront spots on Klong Dao beach and, if you don't mind the dated decor, aren't at all a bad choice. The furniture is not of a particularly high standard, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.
They have great beachfront terraces. They are reasonable value for Klong Dao beach, but way more expensive than other resorts further south. An example of a better resort further south is the La Laanta for couples or the Relax Bay for families.
