The rooms in this resort are across a small road from the beach, making it necessary to cross and re-cross the road several times a day, making the resort unsuitable for small childrem, as parents will have to accompany them every time they want to go back to the room. There is nothing particularly impressive about this resort’s rooms, and they are an acceptable alternative when the better resorts are full, but not one that is recommended for long stays.
The shared areas of this Klong Nin beach resort are superb. There is a lawn covered in a swaying coconut grove, a lovely spa, a cool beach-bar, atmospheric restaurant, classy lobby and free 27/7 internet. While the shared areas of the resort impress, however, the accommodation does not. All the units except the Beachfront Houses are located on the hillside behind the resort. The construction 10 years ago left scars on the hillside which were never landscaped away, resulting in an area that can in no way be described as attractive.
Accommodation
Cottage
These units show signs of wear and tear, which put them somewhat on the pricey side for the standard offered. None of them have particularly pleasing views, and none have balconies, making them a tad claustrophobic.
Verandah
These units have verandahs, making them a better choice than the Cottage units, but also suffer from wear and tear, and lack of a good view.
Star Path
These units are located a long and arduous walk up the hill behind the resort. usually, when a room requires a long and exhausting walk to each it, it offers a fab view to compensate for the effort. In the case of these units, however, that isn't the case - the view is OK, but not worth the marathon trek to reach the rooms. These units are better equipped than the previous ones, featuring a hot tub on the balcony, but suffer from the same quality and value for money problems.
Beachfront House
These front row houses can sleep up to 6 people. The area immediately in front of them isn't great for swimming, but good swimming isn't far away along the beach. Theer are two of these units, one on tpo of the other. The upstairs unit gets better views, while the downstairs unit is better for small children, who don't have to negotiate stairs. While these are the only quality accommodation option in this resort, there are better value options than this available elsewhere for families.
