This evening trip is offered to guests at Paradise resort, in order to enable them to easily get out and about.
Paradise is isolated and it isn't easy to just whistle up a taxi, so people who like to eat and drink out are recommended to book this trip in advance.
The trip consists of a sunset dinner at the best Thai restaurant on the island, followed by a few drinks at the best bar.
If you are not staying at Paradise there's not much point in booking this trip in advance. Just organise a taxi with your resort as and when you want to go, or rent a motorbike.
At the time of writing the best restaurant is the Good View which, as well as offering fresh seafood prepared every which Thai way, also benefits from sunset views. Note that we are no longer recommending the Laem Sai seafood restaurant due to the recently-raised prices there. The Laem Sai is still a good place, but is rather over-priced.
The best bar at the moment is the same as it has been for some years - the Para bar, a few kilometres south of Tackao pier.
If you fancy a change from Thai food, then LaLuna is the best Italian restaurant on the island and Je T'aime is an excellent French restaurant.
