This is a stylish resort with a good reputation as a romantic luxury hideaway resort. It is located in Klong Muang, 15 miunutes drive from Ao Nang. Some people will like Klong Muang, others will loath it, click here for more on Klong Muang. It has 36 classy & cozy accommodation units, some with partial seaviews, especially on the top floor. The ground floor units are more popular with older visitors.
All are a 2-3 minute walk from the beach.
The resort boasts a gigantic, tiled outdoor swimming pool which looked very tempting. We also saw an outdoor restaurant offering Thai and international cuisine.
The down-side of this resort is its location. Klong Muang district, where it is located, is problematic, as you will see if you click the link above. However, it is still a reasonable choice for some people. The Nakamanda, however, is located on a poor stretch of semi-beach between Klong Muang North beach and Klong Muang South beach. There are rocks immediately in front of the resort festooned with signs advising you not to try walking on them. At low tide the sea swimming is not at all good and at high tide it isn't great either, as the beach then disappears entirely. Basically, if a great beach is important to you, you should stay elsewhere, contact us for advice.

Salah Villas
An attractive feature of Nakamanda's rooms is the abundance of natural light entering. If you hate gloom, this is your room. The units all have gleaming, burnished hardwood floors and many large mirrors that make them seem larger than their 56 sqm. Each unit has an indoor daybed large enough for two people to cuddle up comfortably or to be converted into a bed. Aside from these features, each unit has an outdoor Thai style pavillion which makes for a nice viewpoint from which to observe the beachside jungle in which they're located. Some of these pavilions offer partial seaviews. If you book through us we'll request one of these better units for you - we can do this, being a local agency, as we know which ones they are.
