J Mansions, Ao Nang
Not to be confused with J Hotel, J Mansions are anything but mansions. The hotel can’t be fairly described as grotty, but it’s not particularly great either. There are mouldy bits in the bathrooms, and the bedrooms are somewhat gloomy and very basic. Rather unusually, the shared areas, such as the lobby, stairways and corridors, are in better condition than the rooms. Rooms on the lower floors are gloomier than those above and have no view – none of the rooms have balconies. Click here for a map.
