Trisara consists of 39 rooms, suites and villas, with an additonal 15 residential villas for groups (two to six bedrooms per villa). The big draws at Trisara are lots of space (the resort is set on 40 acres of land), great seaviews and perfect privacy. The resort always seems empty, even when it is fully occupied. For those who can afford the prices, Trisara has a lot to recommend itself. Little golf cart lanes meander through the tropical foliage to the villas, located in 3 staggered rows, all facing the sea.
Trisara benefits from its own private beach, with some limitations - during low season no swimming is allowed due to potentially dangerous waves. Despite it good looks, the beach isn't all that great for swimming, even during the high season. Each high season, the resort builds a jetty and a pontoon from which swimming is possible and enjoyable.
The resort has its own speedboat, with which it transports its guests to a nearby islet for some snorkelling in relatively pristine waters. Trisara has a kid's club, open from 8 am to 8 pm. The kid's club is supervised at all times, but children under 4 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Toddlers, bring your own nanny, or rent-a-nanny from Trisara at THB 350/hr!
Ocean Front Pool Villa
These pool villas are amongst the easiest on the eye anywhere on the Andaman Coastline. The natural colours of the surrounding foliage and trees continue into the villas themselves, where different shades of wood provide a classy feel. The floorboards gleam with care whilst the costly hardwood walls are finished in a matte varnish. The wooden sculptures depicting images from the ancient Laan-Na dynasty at least look like they're antiques.
Raising the opulence level a notch higher, the bathrooms in these splendid villas are equipped with a feature we've only seen in this resort (bear in mind we've visited over 1,000 Thailand bedrooms). The mirrored wall between the bath and bedroom can slide open and disappear into the adjacent walls, revealing from the bathtub a full ocean view and making the entire area seem twice as large.
These villas are suitable for up to 3 adults, or for 2 adults and 2 children. Please note that in Thailand anyone aged 12 or more is deemed an adult (for accomodation purposes, not for driving nor drinking, unless they are Thai, in which case riding a motorbike at the age of 10 years old is seen as perfectly normal).
Ocean View Pool Villa
These are exactly the same as the above-described Ocean Front pool Villas, except located on the 2nd and 3rd rows. They do not suffer from impeded views due to being behind the villas on the front row, due to the resort’s hillside location.
Ocean View Pool Room
These are smaller versions of the pool villas and have a less opulent bathroom. At 4 metres, the pool is so small that it is more of a plunge pool than a swimming pool. In common with the villas, these rooms are a holiday choice that only the most jaded and pamperede of travellers will regret.
Ocean View Pool Suite
These large suites have a living room which is not terribly usefull unless converted into a second bedroom. When this is done these suites become a very comfortable and stylish family choice, with a 9 metre pool, magnificent views and 2 bathrooms. They can sleep up to 5 people.
These large villas, ranging from 2 to 6 bedrooms, each have their own maid and cook on hand 24hrs per day. They can be rented short-term (1 and 2 night stays are possible) and have larger pools.
