This grey concrete massif is a sterile monstrosity of a hotel. At 11am, upon this reviewer’s arrival, the pool bar was full of young drinkers with go-go music loudly emanating, no, pulsating from the enormous speaker system 15 meters from the lobby area.
Seated waiting in the lobby one can revolve 360 degees and see in this order: (a) from the lifts to the right of reception desk, ladies of negotiable affection descending from a successful negotiation, (b) the afore-mentioned pool bar debacle (c) the sterile restaurant bearing witness to all around (d) a soi, (Thai for side street) filled with another 15 bars all with polished stainless steel poles and mirrored ceilings. The hotel is appropriately named, as 'kee' in Thai means 'sh**'.
