Service level pledges:
(a) Maximum of two climbers per guide except when DWS'ing. We are the only company that stick to this - it's not uncommon here to see a group of twelve climbers being looked after by three guides, which might be profitable but doesn't meet our service levels.
(b) A locally-resident Western climber will come along for free on the first day's climbing to make sure the Thai guide fully understands your requirements and to make sure that he does what is necessary to satisfy them. We love to clomb here at Andaman Adventures, so it's no hardship at ball to come along too.
(c) If you want we'll take you to Railay's High Viewpoint. This is a very easy climb, which works like this (i) first guide leads the route and then stays at the top (ii) second Thai guide belayscustomers up (iii) first guide attaches customers to a secure anchor at the top (iv) climbers at the top then scramble/climb fixed ropes to the viewpoint, then scramble back down to the anchor (vi) everyone abseils down or is lowered down. This is a great trip but one that very few climbers ever get to do, because its physically quite hard work to get to the base of the route, so hardly anybody ever takes customers there. It also requires a minimum of two guides to do it safely with beginners, which is great for those who want to do it, because they don't usually have to queue for the route, as very few guides want the bother of doing this route.
(d) Although we provide the above extras, we don't charge you more than anybody else. The prices are the same everywhere - THB 1800 per person per day including kit.
