Crag: Five Squared

So named because there are so many grade-5 routes here, this is currently (as at July 2009) the best beginner DWS crag in the country. The beginner DWS crags near Ao Nang used to be great, but are too crowded now. The Five Sqaured Wall is the left-most of the three DWS spots on the opposite side of Koh Kudu from Koh Yao Noi. Experienced DWS climbers will find the routes here too easy.

Climbers should be aware that deep water solo climbing can be dangerous. Many of the deep water solo climbing crag are protected by birds' nest collectors and must not, for the rock climber's safety, be approached without their permission.
