Introduction

The large Ayodhaya hotel consists of 7 buildings, each modeled in a different traditional Thai style.

The teething problems which caused some early bad reviews during the soft opening of this hotel have sorted themselves out, and the reputation for staff friendliness and service is particularly high. The manager, a Frenchman by the name of Jean-Marc, is especially helpful and attentive.

This resort is an excellent choice for families if the guest books connecting  ‘Pool Access’ rooms, as opposed to one of the family rooms, which are several floors up and so not convenient for the pool. The pool is enormous and interestingly formed, and will provide children with endless possibilities for fun and games. This makes for a relaxing time for parents, who can lounge around keeping only half an eye on their children. There are also some cozy nooks in the vast pool complex for couples to have a kiss and cuddle, should they wish to.

Whilst the resort is good for families, it is still a good choice for couples too, as it is not inundated with noisy children. This is because the hotel is new and relatively unknown, so occupancy is pleasingly low. This means that there is never a need to wait or queue for anything, or to be denied a pool lounger - there are always enough to go round.

The hotel is located 90 metres from Nopparat Thara beach. This is a 20 minute walk from Ao Nang town, and most people take a tuk tuk there in the evenings, in order to wander the busy beach-front and try out the varied eateries. All the hotels’ rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and in immaculate condition. The hotel is located a fair way from Ao Nang town, and most people take a tuk tuk there in the evenings, in order to wander the busy beach-front and try out the varied eateries.
