Introduction

This mid-range resort is built around an attractive lake which is stocked with large fish. Younger visitor will enjoy watching feeding time at the lake, when the staff empty plates-full of left-over bread and rice into the lake, and the water fairly boils with large fish competing for the choicest nibbles. This resort was much improved in August '09, when the generator next door was removed, following the peninsula's connection to the national electricity grid. It is a reasonably priced if unremarkable place, which occupies a lovely setting in the very centre of the peninsula, surrounded by Railay's huge amphitheater of majestic rock-faces. This central location means that it is only ten minutes walk to anywhere on the peninsula.

The resort, lacking a beachfront locaiton, seems at first to be a second-rate option when compared to the first-rank Railay Bay Resort and Railay Village resorts on Railay West beach, but the Princess has a very attractive ace up its sleeve. It is owned by the same company that owns the Railay Bay resort, so geusts at the Princess can use the pool at the Railay Bay. This is a big benefit, as the Railay Bay's pool setting is a jaw-droppingly spectacular one. This access to the Railay Bay's facilities adds considerable appeal to a stay at the Princess Resort.

Accommodation

The rooms here are immaculate and spotlessly clean, if rather uninspiringly decorated. Whilst the decor won't wow anyone, however, it won't upset anyone either. All the rooms in this resort are identical, except for the bed configurations. The double and twin rooms are the same price, with the triples more expensive.

Prices

The above rates are net per room per night and inclusive of service charge and breakfast for 2 people.

Compulsory gala dinner:
Compulsory gala dinner on 31 Dec 09 is Baht 3,500 per adult and Baht 2,200 per child
