Soft Kayaking - Koh Yao Noi
Introduction
 |
This kayaking trip is good as a soft first bit of exercise after arriving on holiday. Maybe do nothing at all on your first full day's holiday, or maybe do this very easy tour.
At Pasai Beach you will mount kayaks for the 30 minute paddle across to Koh Nok. After lazing about on the beach there for a while, you paddle back to Pasai beach. |
The views of Koh Yao Noi from offshore, as much as the cute little destination island koh Nok, are what make this tour a great little trip. It can be completed in as little as an hour's paddle there and back, but most people take a couple of hours over it.
This tour only takes a few hours, so can start at any time up untill 3pm. |

We don't book this tour, as we prefer to leave it as an optional extra in our vacation itineraries. This gives you the flexibility that, if you feel like doing it, you can, but if you feel too tired, you don't need to bother. There is no need to book this in advance, here is how you do this trip:
- If you are staying at Lom Lare resort, stroll up to reception and ask to rent a kayak.
- If you are staying at Paradise, this trip starting at Pasai beach is not convenient. Instead, go to reception, organise a kayak and start paddling (there is good paddling available near to the beach at Paradise Resort)
- If you are staying at Ulmar's Nature Lodge, as the extremely helpful owner Ning to organise it for you.
- Otherwise, go to your resort reception and book a taxi to Pasai beach, which takes a maximum of 10 minutes from anywhere on Koh Yao Noi except Paradise. At Pasai beach, ask for the kayak rental place.
